Las Vegas is a bright city in the middle of the Nevada Desert. With huge hotels lining the Las Vegas strip, visitors often do not have to leave that one street in order to find enough entertainment for their stay. When you visit Las Vegas five star hotels offer the most elegant, luxurious accommodations. This city has an atmosphere of luxury at every turn and to get the most out of your visit to Las Vegas five star hotels are the best options.

Taking a trip to Las Vegas can be quite expensive, but many people may not realize that there are actually several free things to do in the city. The casinos can cost a lot of money very quickly and the shows, while fabulous and worth the money, are rather costly as well. If you are on a budget, you will want to choose a few things to see and do that do not cost anything at all. This is quite easy to do because many of the hotels have free attractions within their large spaces.

One of the hotels features an aquarium with a large 117,000-gallon saltwater tank. Any visitor can view this attraction, whether you are staying in the hotel or not. One of the larger hotels has a conservatory that was crafted by a team of over 100 horticulturists. The elegant, elaborate plants and flower arrangements are bright and can be viewed for free in the airy atrium. A third hotel has a 'Lion Habitat' inside with majestic cats in natural settings.

Many of the hotels offer free shows as well, especially in the evening hours. One of the larger hotels has a water and music show that often plays in the evenings in the quarter mile long lake in front of the hotel. Another hotel features a show that offers a look into the spectacle that was Ancient Rome. A third hotel has a pirate show complete with a sinking ship, pyrotechnics and splashing water.

With that many free things to see and do, it can be hard to know what hotel to visit. Many tourists simply enjoy spending a day or more wandering from hotel to hotel. Some of the hotels on the strip have themes such as Rome, Paris, New York, or even Egypt. Others simply have elegance and grand luxury as their theme. It is free to walk through the hotels and see all of the architectural wonders on the outside and inside. Each hotel on the strip is almost a city of its own as they all have full casinos, shopping malls, dozens of restaurants, spas, food courts, theaters and much more.

Many visitors also like to make sure they get a picture next to the 50 year old "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign that you have most likely seen on many TV shows and movies over the years. Guests can park their cars right next to the sign and take pictures, or you can easily walk to the sign from your hotel on the strip.

It is easy to spend your entire trip exploring the various sights and attractions on the Las Vegas strip. If you tire of the high-energy and artificial lights, you may want to plan a side trip to a man-made or natural wonder in the area. The Hoover Dam lies just an hour away and many companies offer day trips to this man-made sight. You can take a tour of the dam or just view it from the walkways above. If you have never seen the Grand Canyon before, you may also want to plan a trip to that attraction. There are many bus tours that take people to the Grand Canyon and back from Las Vegas. It is a five-hour drive so you will not have much time to explore once you arrive, but at least you get to see this natural wonder in person. Some visitors prefer renting a car so they can drive to the canyon on their own and spend more time on the trails and look out points.

When you visit Las Vegas five star hotels have all of the features you need to enjoy your stay. These hotels offer spacious rooms, spa services, full restaurants, food courts, large casinos, outdoor pools and plenty more. It is hard to slow down when you are in a city with that much entertainment on hand, but when you are ready to relax and enjoy your time in Las Vegas five star hotels will have everything you could ever want waiting for you.
